Check List
Must bring items.
SAFETY BELT-A
safety belt or harness is required by BCO to hunt on our property. Anyone
caught not using one will be prohibited from hunting and asked to leave
without a refund!
SEAT CUSHION-We use
hang on tree stands and cushions are not provided. If we leave
cushions in the stand they will be wet and cold when you climb in.
Make sure you bring a good quality, quite cushion or your stand time will
be uncomfortable.
BOW, GUN AND ACCESSORY HANGERS-We
constantly move our tree stands in an attempt to keep areas fresh and keep
the deer guessing. We do not keep accessory hangers in our stands.
Please bring them with you or you will be holding your gear for your long
sit in the stand.
PULL UP ROPE-We
do not keep pull up ropes in our tree stands. Please bring one with
you.
WEAPON AND SHOOTING AIDS-Of
course you must bring any items you need to shoot at animals. Bows,
weapons etc.....
HUNTER ORANGE DURING FIREARMS SEASON-Please check the date of
your hunt. If your hunt is during a firearms season you must bring a
hunter orange hat and vest. Camo orange is not legal here. It
must be a solid pattern. Both hat and vest are required.
Suggested Items
The Items below are suggestions. Please bring whatever else is
necessary for you to have a comfortable and safe hunt.
Warm and Cold Weather Clothing: Thermal clothing, gloves, socks, a
neck warmer and boots and for the cold, and lightweight breathable
for the warm are needed. Temps can range between 95 and -15 degrees
depending upon the season. The weather can vary greatly from day to day
here.
Wet Weather Clothing: A good quality rain suit and camo
umbrella is recommended.
Face Mask: A comfortable mask and
hat is a must. It is recommended to have an extra of each to keep in
a scent free environment.
Tree stands: We provide multiple
stand, but bring your climber for even more options.
Hunter Safety Card (Orange Card):
It is required for some hunters to posses a hunter safety orange card
or equivalent in Kentucky to purchase hunting license. Please check
with the
KDFW for exact requirements for you.
Foot Wear: A good quality High
Top rubber boot for wet weather and a light weight rubber or scent
resistant bottom is recommended.
*Rattling bag or horns, and deer or
turkey calls.
*Cover Scent and Odor eliminating spray
*Binoculars
*Your favorite snacks for all day hunts
*Camera for memories!
*Lures and Attractant Scents
*Decoys
*Commercial Hand and Toe Warmers
*Compass
*Practice broad heads
*Sharp hunting knife
*Water Proof back pack and fanny pack.
*Large Zip-Lock bags to keep items dry.
*Weapon and release aid
*Ammo or Arrows
*Flashlight (Bring a bright one to help locate trail markers in the dark.)
*Sharp Broad Heads (We do not recommend open on impact).
